ATLANTA -- Several sources are now reporting that a man who may be the Flint Serial Killer has been tracked to and arrested in Georgia. Genesee county authorities apparently received a tip that the suspect worked at the King Water Market in Beecher, which is just north of Flint. He had apparently left that job. They were able to track him to Georgia, he was located in Atlanta and arrested. Wednesday night.
He will await their for extradition. The man is suspected in as many as 20 stabbings in three states, targeting older and smaller African American males. He would ask them for assistance, pretending to need directions or help with his vehicle, and then assault them with a knife. Five of them died from their wounds.
Detectives say they believe it was racially motivated. Identical cases later popped up in Toledo and Virginia.
