KALAMAZOO -- A teenager with a criminal history has been given a prison sentence for gunning a man down at the Fox Ridge Apartments in early April. Police say 18-year-old Darvion Bible shot Donell Berry 11 times, ending an ongoing dispute between the two. Police say he had stolen the gun from a home in the Westnedge Hill area.
Bible pled guilty to 2nd degree murder, home invasion and gun charges.
He was given 30 to 60-years, as a habitual offender. Bible made no statement in court, but members of Berry’s family berated Bible for the crime, saying Berry’s children miss him.
