LANSING (WKZO) - State lawmakers are moving ahead on negotiating a state budget that should address the 1.7-billion dollar budget gap. State Representative Larry DeShazor says budgets are on their way into conference committee and that's a good sign, though they are trying to figure out how to do more with less.
He says, though, that while lawmakers might not always agree on just how to get things done, they do for the most part have the same goals in mind. They'll evaluate their options after hearing from the revenue estimating committee this week.
