MARSHALL -- Former Marshall Pastor Mathew Brown has been ordered to stand trial for criminal sexual conduct. He was the spiritual leader at the First Baptist Church in Marshall, until allegations surfaced that he had inappropriately touched a young girl during a massage, and sent inappropriate comments to her on a social website.
A preliminary hearing was held yesterday and the judge found the evidence compelling enough to order a trial.
