PORTAGE (WKZO) -- It appears to be nearly unanimous that Portage Schools Superintendent Marsha Wells is on her way out, it’s just a matter of figuring out the best way to do it. While there are enough votes to fire her right now, Board President Kevin Hollenbeck says he would much rather phase her out, giving them time to find a replacement, .a process that can take months to do right.
He says her contract is good for another year and a half and buying her out will be another expense he would rather avoid. The reason for the falling out? It seems that they just don’t get along anymore, and some of the trustees say they never did.
