KALAMAZOO-- After hearing detailed and explicit testimony from a teenaged girl, Terrence Bell has been ordered to stand trial on 9 counts of criminal sexual conduct and child pornography.
Bell is a coach at HillsideMiddle School and the husband of City Commissioner Stephanie Bell, who attended the hearing. The 17-year-old testified that she had sexual relations with him more often than she could count, saying she had real feelings for him and was afraid he would get in trouble if she reported it. She also testified that he threatened her.
Prosecutors say the sex went on for a year, with Bell sometimes taking pictures. Bell remains free on bond. No trial date has been set yet.
