For the first time since March 2008, Hope College is No. 1 in the NCAA Division III men's basketball poll put out by d3hoops.com. The Flying Dutchmen, who were unranked in the Top 25 to start the season, are 20-1 and can clinch an outright MIAA championship Wednesday night at DeVos Fieldhouse with a win over Kalamazoo. Hope was ranked No. 2 last week and moved up following road victories at Adrian and Albion, while previously top-ranked Middlebury College of Vermont suffered its first loss of the season.
