CALHOUN CO. (WKZO) -- Calhoun County Deputies say they caught a truck driver pillaging an SUV that was parked along I-69 Sunday night.
Deputies were dispatched to check on reports of two people walking along the divided highway. They came across a semi parked behind an SUV and thought the two had collided because the smaller vehicle had a broken window. It turns out the truck driver had broken out the window and was going through the vehicle with a flashlight.
The 39-year-old truck driver from Dearborn was wearing gloves. While deputies were on the scene, the owners of the SUV returned, saying they ran out of gas, locked up the vehicle and left to get some gas. The truck driver was arrested for breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
