SWANSBORO, NC (WKZO) -- Police in North Carolina have released the name of a former Kalamazoo woman, who was shot to death on Monday. Fifty-year-old Suzy Zemlick married Matthew Zemlick two years ago and then moved to be near Camp LeJune, where he was stationed. Eight months ago, they separated, and she was living with her neighbors, an older couple.
Police say her estranged husband is not a suspect in her death, even though she had allegedly been threatened by Zemlick when they split up. Police say they are close to making an arrest in the case.
