KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation department has announced that the gates to city parks will be opened on Saturday, and by the end of May, all water fountains and restrooms in the parks will be opened.
Gates that allow parking and entry to drives will open up at Spring Valley, Woods Lake, Milham, Versluis/Dickenson, and the Fairmount Dog park on May 1st.
Parks officials say that, even though city parks are open year-round, the gates have to be closed due to staffing issues.
