KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – UPDATE: Following a guilty verdict by jury last month, a Kalamazoo man will be spending the rest of his life in prison for the murder of a Galesburg woman.
According to an update from MLive Monday, 25-year-old Chad Michael White has received a life sentence in the murder of 28-year-old Amber Walker, who was found dead last December in Richland Township.
Walker was shot in the face and run over multiple times before her body was hidden.
After developing White as a person of interest in the case, he was apprehended in Plainwell, at which time a gun matching the one used on Walker was found.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office later submitted charges of murder and felony firearm against White.
White, who was dating Walker at the time of the incident, was convicted on various charges including first-degree pre-meditated murder, along with felony firearms, according to the update.
