KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Small Business Saturday is an annual American holiday that celebrates local entrepreneurs and encourages shoppers to buy from small businesses in their area. And Consumers Energy is looking to help Kalamazoo residents take advantage by giving away free $10 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificates.
Shoppers can pick up their free Downtown Dollars gift certificate this Saturday, November 26 157 South Kalamazoo Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last.
According to the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership, the Downtown Dollars gift certificate can be used at more than 50 participating downtown restaurants, shops, and businesses.
“Kalamazoo small businesses have been there for us over the past many years, and on Saturday, we hope to encourage the community to be there for those small businesses,” said Lauren Snyder, Consumers Energy’s vice president of customer experience. “With the Downtown Dollars program, we want shoppers to support the small businesses we know and love that are the backbone of the community. We look forward to seeing folks come out strong for the Kalamazoo community on November 26.”
