KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety police are investigating a shooting on Friday night, December 2 that hospitalized a teenage boy.
It happened in Kalamazoo’s Eastside neighborhood at Center Street and Hazard Avenue near Gull Road.
Authorities say a 17-year-old boy was shot and admitted to nearby Ascension Borgess Hospital for non-life threatening injuries just before 10 p.m.
With the help from a K9 from Western Michigan University, police extended their search up Hazard Avenue to Humphrey Street and Bixby Road, and down Junction Avenue to Henson Avenue.
So far, they have no information about a suspect.
