KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Economic Development Corporation announcing on Thursday, May 25 three business expansion projects and one community development project expected to create a total of 350 new jobs for the state.
Officials say the projects which are spread out over five communities are also expected to generate a total private investment of more than $25 million with the village of Mendon in St. Joseph County and the City of Portage in Kalamazoo County taking part.
In Mendon, it’s International Automotive Components North America Incorporated, a Luxembourg-based global supplier of automotive interior components, with it’s North America Headquarters in Southfield and four manufacturing facilities throughout the state that employ a total of 811 Michiganders.
This project is expected to generate a total capital investment of $20.6 million and create 273 new jobs. The RoviSys Company, headquartered in Cleveland Ohio, is expected to create 30 jobs in Portage, and expected to generate a total capital investment of $160,000 dollars.
