ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detectives with the Southwest Enforcement Team, troopers with Michigan State Police, and St. Joseph County Sheriff Deputies arrested a man on Tuesday, June 13 they believe was selling narcotics following a search warrant.
Those three agencies executed the search warrant at the Spartan Motel off of US-131 in Three Rivers where they apprehended the 47-year-old suspect and motel guest on an outstanding felony arrest warrant issued by the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities say the charges, which include, Delivery of methamphetamine – 3 counts, Delivery of cocaine – 4 counts, and Delivery of Fentanyl – 1 count, stem from a long-term investigation resulting in controlled purchases of narcotics from the suspect, who is now lodged at the St. Joseph County jail pending arraignment.
The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) is a multi-jurisdictional task force that has been operating in Southwest Michigan since 1981.
