YANKEE SPRINGS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Authorities in Barry County are continuing an investigation into the apparent murder-suicide of a husband and wife earlier this week.
Michigan State Police Troopers were called to a home on Lakeridge Dr. in Yankee Springs Township Tuesday evening. They had received a call that the residents who lived there had not shown up for their jobs recently. The caller told authorities they went to the residence and after looking in the window, they saw two people on the floor.
Investigators confirmed that 50-year-old Michael Cybulskis and 61-year-old Ellen Cybulskis had died from gunshot wounds and evidence at the scene led them to believe it was a murder-suicide, but they are waiting on lab results to confirm it.
Authorities aren’t sure yet how long the couple had been deceased before their bodies were discovered at the home Tuesday.
