KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Youth Fair & Family Festival is back again for 2023, and organizers say the event is designed to highlight 4-H programs and youth education while providing agricultural education to children and families in the community.
4-H horse and livestock shows will are scheduled for Tuesday, August 8, through Friday, August 11. The public welcome to attend the 4-H livestock auction, starting with small animals and ending with large animals, on Friday at 1 p.m.
The fair will then round out with a family festival on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., that will offer fun kid’s entertainment and activities, an Inflatable Fun Zone, 4-H exhibits, and food vendors, plus hands-on demonstrations led by 4-H youth combined with plenty of educational activities.
A silent auction benefiting the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail and the Fair will also be held on Friday & Saturday as well.
New for 2023 is Kanin Wren’s Taylor Swift Experience in the Grandstand beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 12.
The fair will be held at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center & Fairground located at 2900 Lake Street, and will be open Tuesday, August 8 through Saturday, August 12.
Visitors will need to access the event via the Olmstead Road entrance due to road construction on Lake Street.
