I was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi to the late deacon Oddie and Lola Robinson. My parents and I migrated to Flint, Michigan, “The Vehicle City”, in the 1950’s in search of better opportunities. My three siblings were all born in Flint. My dad was a supervisor at General Motors and my mother was a Nurse.

I relocated to Kalamazoo after being recruited as a police officer by the City of Kalamazoo. I retired from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety after 25 years of service. I have a degree in Law Enforcement from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and a Bachelor degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University.

I am a family man! I am married to the lovely and talented Robyn Robinson and we have two children and three grandchildren. Robyn and I co-host Gospel Saturday Morning and we are involved in numerous community activities. I enjoy fishing.

I am an Ordained Elder at Faith Temple Church of God. I am also active in the Trustee and Men’s Ministry and teach adult Bible study. I look forward to serving the community and bringing the love of Jesus into your homes, cars and workplaces every Saturday morning!

I have been described as a Renaissance Woman, probably because I’ve had a variety of careers, such as Deputy Sheriff, Realtor, Entrepreneur, Secretary and currently Gospel Radio Announcer. I grew up in a large family (I’m the eldest of 11 children) as a P.K. – Preacher’s Kid. My “career” in radio actually began at the age of seven as an announcer for my dad’s, Bishop T. D. Lockett, radio broadcast. My mom, Quella, was and is a great homemaker.

I have been married since 1979 to Howard, and I am blessed that we co-host Gospel Saturday Morning together. We have two adult children and three wonderful grandchildren. I am passionate about Literacy and you will often find me with my nose in a book! I graduated from Spring Arbor University at the age of 48 with a degree in Family Life Education. I encourage you to follow your dreams and goals—no matter your age! I am very active in my church, Faith Temple Church of God, which my father pastors. I serve as an Evangelist, sing in the choir, I’m a Trustee and the Director of Christian Education. I volunteer weekly at the Ecumenical Senior Center.

I love being able to touch the lives of so many with the Gospel of Jesus Christ every Saturday. Our Touch family has enriched my life in so many ways and it is a joy to serve you!
